Originally founded as a blog in 2013, Native Dialogues evolved into a full-scale magazine in April 2017. The magazine was officially launched on Wednesday, 10 May 2017.

The decision to convert the blog into a magazine was informed by many events; chief among those was to employ technology to build a platform where talented and undiscovered writers and artists of the African continent are free to produce thought-provoking content that gives meaning to the human experience and shapes conversations in the living rooms, sports bars, corporate offices and just about any place in the world.

The result of that grand dream is this platform – Native Dialogues. Like an infant Native Dialogues will grow up and develop an independent mind of its own, but its foundation will be firmly rooted in the African soil. Kgotsong!
